When approaching a tough or emotional conversation, it helps to get it all out on paper first to then help you move through the convo with clarity.
How to use this framework:
- Write it all down using the framework below
- Pause. Let it sit for a little. An hour, overnight, a few days…it is up to you and depends on the situation!
- Reflect on what you have below. Refine some of your points if you need to.
- Frame up your key points for the convo.
- Do it!
- How did it go? Be proud that you asked - no matter the outcome.
- Record it in your Brag Book to remind yourself of the courage you cultivated to have the convo.
- Reflect - what went well, what could you do different next time, how did this compare to other times when you may not have gone in prepared?
🌟 Pro tip: talk this through with someone. Saying it out loud also helps to structure the ask in your mind.

CONFIDENCE REMINDERS!
- Clear is kind
- The standard you walk past is the standard you accept
- The more you hold onto it, the more it can fester and impact your mental wellbeing and cost the business
- Set a time to have the convo. Don’t spring it on the other person
